Concerning Epidemic

A few years ago, I remember devising a strategy to avoid becoming a victim of what the media presented as an imminent bird flu epidemic. My family owns a relatively secluded cabin in the Pocono mountains and I decided I would travel there and stay isolated for as long as necessary to survive this new plague. As usual, the media’s bird flu hype turned out to be much more hype than bird flu, and my plan wasn’t necessary (although I still keep it on file, just in case).

1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus (Book Review)

Is it possible that the greatest civilizations of ancient times did not exist in the fertile crescent of the Middle East as has been taught in primary, secondary, and post-secondary classrooms the world over? This is the question addressed by journalist Charles C. Mann in his book, 1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus. Fredrickson’s dual purpose in writing this book was to identify the historical roots of Western racist ideologies and to provide a comparative an… Continue

A Veggie Tale

A little over a year ago, I decided to cut all land-dwelling meat out of my diet. I still eat fish and animal products such as milk and eggs--although I do try to drink soy milk as often as possible. I made this decision for two reasons, one primary and one secondary. The secondary reason has to do with all of the little "extras" that have been appearing in our meat and animal products over the past several decades. In order to continue meeting the demand for higher quantities and cheaper produc… Continue

I am attaching this post to you because; we have been receiving notes that people are not receiving emails from the Daily Timez. The problem may lie in your email preferences on your personal accounts. You have to make sure you check your junk box, or spam box, and if you see a message form the Daily Timez, or 3Guys Don’t Lie, make sure you mark that email as “safe” or “not Junk/Spam mail”. This will insure proper delivery when messages and bulletins are sent from the Daily Timez.
